About LiveGentle

Waterdrop

In this world so in need of healing what is it that we each can do?

We could choose to help elect people to office (even Presidents, as I was involved until recently).

We could choose to earn much financial fortune and then share it as best as we can with others.

We could organize broad associations and put together some brand new organization with staff and structure.

Or maybe we could just walk out the front door of our homes, or leave our offices during the day, or stroll out of our classrooms that we are in, and look at what’s right in front of us and help heal what stares us in the face.

Human beings deep in their hearts and souls want to be noticed, they want to be recognized, they want to feel they belong somewhere and matter, they want a touch of kindness or gentleness as they exist in their lifes.

Asking someone’s name in a checkout line at the store or at a restaurant or anywhere ordinary in each day, and then asking are in a real active way or smiling at them or making them laugh will cause a huge ripple in the pond of life. We are all in need of these gentle ways of interacting with each other.

That is what LiveGentle is meant to encourage. In my own small and personal way, that is what I feel called to do. And if you happen to agree, I would love to hear your story of what you did in your daily life to provide gentleness on this site. Or even give each of us suggestions how we all might to that better.

We all, truly, give what we need, and each of us needs to be treated gently as we walk through life in a world that feel overwhelming and crazy and disinterested at times.

Peace to you,

Matthew Dowd
